Most foaming cleansers get their lather from SLS and similar cheap detergents, which clean well but strip the oils your skin needs. The result is that tight, squeaky feeling, and often more oil production as skin overcompensates. This cleanser takes a different route: an Ecocert-certified plant-derived surfactant blend that foams generously while leaving moisture where it belongs.
How It Works
First, decyl glucoside builds a soft foam that lifts dirt, oil, and makeup off the skin. Next, sodium lauroyl lactylate cleans alongside it while depositing a light conditioning layer that supports your moisture mantle. Then vegetable glycerin and honey pull water toward the skin, so hydration happens during the wash rather than after it. Meanwhile, rose and rose geranium essential oils soothe and calm. Finally, everything rinses clean, and your face feels soft instead of tight.
Triple-Action Pure Cleanse System
Decyl Glucoside
A mild, plant-derived surfactant made from glucose that creates the cleanser's soft, generous foam. It lifts away dirt, oil, and makeup without stripping your skin's natural oils, which is why it appears in so many formulas for reactive and easily irritated complexions.
Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate
The second half of the surfactant blend and the reason this cleanser feels different. Lactylate cleans while leaving a light conditioning layer on the skin, and testing of the blend found traces still present after weeks of continued use, quietly supporting your moisture barrier.
Honey
A natural humectant that draws water toward the skin as you wash. Honey is also known for its natural antibacterial properties, which may help skin that is prone to breakouts. It adds a touch of softness to the lather that plain detergent cleansers lack.
Vegetable Glycerin
A plant-sourced humectant, used here instead of petroleum-based glycols. Glycerin attracts and holds moisture so your face feels comfortable rather than tight after rinsing. Paired with honey, it gives the formula its distinctly hydrating character.

Rose and Rose Geranium Essential Oils
Two classic botanical oils that give the cleanser its soft floral scent. Rose absolute and rose geranium are traditionally used to soothe and comfort the skin, and they turn a quick wash into something closer to a small daily ritual.

This product is perfect for treating and protecting:
Combination skin: Cleans oily areas thoroughly while glycerin and honey keep drier zones comfortable, so one wash suits your whole face.
Oily skin and breakouts: Removes excess oil and buildup without stripping, and honey's natural antibacterial character may help blemish-prone areas.
Normal skin that dislikes tightness: The lactylate layer supports your moisture mantle so skin feels clean and soft, never squeaky or stretched.
Skin stressed by harsh cleansers: A sulfate-free formula gives skin a break from SLS detergents that can trigger redness, flaking, and rebound oiliness.
Makeup and daily buildup: Rich foam lifts away light makeup, sunscreen residue, and the day's grime in a single gentle step.
Best For
Combination skin: Balances oily and dry zones in one gentle wash
Oily skin: Cleans deeply without triggering rebound oil production
Normal skin: Everyday cleansing that leaves softness behind
Twice-daily use: Mild enough for every morning and evening
Sulfate-avoiders: SLS-free lather for anyone skipping harsh detergents
Is the Mild Rose Geranium Foaming Facial Cleanser sulfate-free?
Yes. It contains no SLS or other sulfates. The foam comes from decyl glucoside and sodium lauroyl lactylate, two mild, naturally derived surfactants in an Ecocert-certified blend. You get the rich lather people expect from a foaming face wash without the stripping that usually comes with it.
Does the Rose Geranium Foaming Cleanser dry out your skin?
It is built to do the opposite. Vegetable glycerin and honey draw moisture to the skin while you wash, and the lactylate surfactant leaves a light conditioning layer behind after rinsing. Skin should feel clean and soft rather than tight. If any cleanser leaves you squeaky, that is a sign it is too harsh.
How often should I use the Mild Rose Geranium Foaming Facial Cleanser?
It is gentle enough for twice-daily use. Wash each morning to remove overnight oil and each evening to clear away makeup, sunscreen, and the day's buildup. In the evening, you can pair it with a cleansing oil first if you wear heavier makeup, then follow with this foam as your second cleanse.
Is this foaming cleanser good for oily or acne-prone skin?
It suits oily, combination, and normal skin well. It removes excess oil without stripping, which matters because over-stripped skin often responds by producing even more oil. Honey brings natural antibacterial properties that may help breakout-prone areas, though it is a cleanser, not an acne treatment.
Can sensitive skin use the Rose Geranium Foaming Cleanser?
Many people with reactive skin do well with it because the surfactants are unusually mild. It does contain rose and rose geranium essential oils, so if fragrance is a known trigger for you, patch test on your inner arm first. Anyone with a bee-related allergy should note that the formula contains honey.
What does sodium lauroyl lactylate do in a facial cleanser?
It cleans and conditions at the same time. Unlike ordinary detergents that rinse away completely, lactylate leaves a light layer on the skin that keeps supporting the moisture mantle after you dry off. Testing of the surfactant blend found traces still present after weeks of regular washing.
Will the Mild Rose Geranium Foaming Facial Cleanser remove makeup?
It handles light makeup, sunscreen residue, and daily grime in one wash. For long-wear foundation, waterproof mascara, or heavy eye makeup, start with a cleansing oil or balm and use this foam as your second step. That two-step approach gets everything off without scrubbing.
What does the Rose Geranium Cleanser smell like?
It has a soft, natural floral scent from rose absolute and rose geranium essential oils rather than synthetic perfume. Rose geranium is a bit greener and brighter than pure rose. The scent is present while you wash and fades after rinsing, so it will not compete with your other products.
What sizes does the Mild Rose Geranium Foaming Facial Cleanser come in?
It comes in a two fluid ounce size that is handy for travel or trying the formula, an eight fluid ounce size for daily use at the sink, and an eight fluid ounce refill. The refill lets you reuse your pump bottle, which saves packaging and usually a little money over time.

I love this moisturizer, it feels so great in the skin ❤️
Nice and thick-this will last a long time. Pure ingredients. Makes my face feel and look soft and amazing!🤩
I love how it makes my face look and feel
This is truly the best toner I have come across! It makes my skin so bright, I always get compliments after a week or so of using it. It smells lovely, and doesn't have behind a sticky residue like some others do. I literally won't use any other toner!
I have suffered for years with extremely dry legs in all seasons. Plus I have a birthmark that dries until it bleeds. Other than Vaseline petroleum jelly, nothing has helped this area. This is the first product that has kept it healthy. I do have to apply it nearly every day but my legs feel healthier and looks healthier. The smell too is heavenly. I just love this product. Please don't stop making it. Highly recommend for all ages, not just babies if you have baby sensitive skin.
