Our Commitment

Bee Naturals is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to make our website inclusive and user-friendly.

Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines are developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and define how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including:

  • Visual impairments — blindness, low vision, and colour blindness
  • Hearing impairments — deafness and hard of hearing
  • Motor impairments — difficulty using a mouse or keyboard
  • Cognitive impairments — learning disabilities and attention difficulties

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following measures to support accessibility on our website:

Navigation and Structure

  • Semantic HTML headings and landmarks for screen reader navigation
  • Consistent page structure and predictable navigation across all pages
  • Clear link text that describes link destinations
  • Logical reading order maintained throughout each page

Visual Design

  • Colour contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG AA standards (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or function
  • Information is not conveyed by colour alone
  • Responsive layout that adapts to screen sizes from mobile to desktop

Interaction

  • All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard
  • Visible focus indicators on interactive elements
  • ARIA labels and roles for custom interface components
  • Form fields include associated labels and clear error messages

Media and Content

  • Alt text descriptions on all meaningful images
  • Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
  • No content that flashes more than three times per second

Assistive Technology Compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Switch access and other alternative input devices

Browser Compatibility

This site is optimised for the latest versions of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari (macOS and iOS)
  • Microsoft Edge

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

  • Third-party content — Some embedded content from third parties (payment processors, social media widgets) may not fully meet accessibility standards. We work with these providers to improve compliance.
  • PDF documents — Older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to update them to accessible formats.
  • User-generated content — Product reviews submitted by customers may not always include appropriate alternative text for images.

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within two business days and to resolve issues within ten business days.
