Bee Naturals Ultra AA Serum – Our Powerful Anti-Aging Serum Ingredients - Bee Naturals

Ultra AA Serum: Naturally Powerful, Naturally Beautiful, Perfectly Your Age

When I learned of an anti-aging serum’s ability to penetrate deeper into the skin than your average moisturizer, I became a total serum junkie. I naively judged every serum by its fancy little bottle, at first. But I quickly noticed how these serums fell short of their promises, particularly those in the anti-aging category. When I educated myself on ingredients and the effect they have on the skin, false beauty product claims became much more transparent.

I learned to avoid products containing synthetic fragrances, chemical preservatives, and toxic emollients. Not only are these irritating to the skin, but they can also speed up the aging process. Bee Naturals’ Ultra #2 AA Serum is full of quality ingredients scientifically composed to meet all the requirements of an effective and safe anti-aging serum, and below you can find out why. Here are a few of the ingredient ‘big guns’ that make this product a favorite of Bee Naturals’ employees and customers:

Vitamin C (MAP) 15% (Stabilized)

MAP stands for Magnesium Ascorbic Phosphate, and is one of Vitamin C’s eight forms. Vitamin C naturally exists in the human body and is hailed for its strong antioxidant properties. Vitamin C has the ability to reduce hyperpigmentation and wrinkles, protect against photo aging, and stimulate collagen. It further acts as a natural barrier for the skin to retain moisture. All of this results in anti-aging benefits. As we age, our skin loses vitamin c, making us susceptible to free-radical damage.

What Does Stability Mean?

The term stable refers to an ingredient’s ability to be fully utilized and absorbed by the skin. In his article, “Which type of Vitamin C is best for the skin,” cosmetic scientist, Perry Romanowski, explains that the skin has a maximum absorption of 20 percent. Higher concentrations have less absorption and can be irritating to the skin. Considering Romanowski’s point, it seems extremely suitable that Bee Naturals has chosen to use a stabilization percentage of 15. This percentage allows the Vitamin C to deeply penetrate the skin without causing irritation.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is well known for its anti-aging benefits. It can help improve the skin’s tone and texture, improve elasticity, and fade discoloration. It can also reduce the occurrence of acne, making it perfect for those who are aging and prone to the occasional breakout.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid is naturally produced in the body. It is a strong lubricant for our joints and eyes, and helps keep our skin moist and wrinkle free. However, like Vitamin C our bodies produce less of it as we age. A study from The Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology found the acid can “boost skin’s moisture content, reduce inflammation, have cell-communicating abilities, and help prevent moisture loss.”

Ferulic Acid

Ferulic acid is a plant based antioxidant found in the cell walls of certain fruits and vegetables, and helps prevent wrinkles and sun damage. Its role in the Ultra AA Serum is vital, as it enhances the effectiveness of other antioxidants such as Vitamin C and E (also present in the formula). Some evidence suggests that when mixed with Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid could be a useful whitening agent to treat hyperpigmentation.
