Also known as: Sea Moss, Irish Sea Moss, and Chondrus crispus

 

Irish moss is a red, spiny sea plant found off the coasts of Jamaica and Ireland where it has been used for decades. It is rich in vitamins A and K, potassium, and sulfur which give it powerful antimicrobial properties. It has been shown to help acne, seborrhea dermatitis, and rosacea by protecting the skin against environmental stressors and locking in moisture. It is also reported to have anti-aging and antioxidant benefits.
