Also known as: Glucono-delta-lactone and GDL

A chemical compound that is a type of poly hydroxy acid, also known as a PHA. This gentle exfoliant initiates skin cell turnover and gently sloughs off dead skin cells. It also has the ability to attract and bind water to the skin giving it the ability to hydrate and condition, making it ideal for sensitive skin types.
