Alcohol

A group of organic compounds with a vast range of forms and uses in cosmetics and in other types of products and solutions. Simple alcohols are drying and damaging for most skin types, especially those with dry, sensitive skin, or rosacea. However, fatty alcohols such as cetyl, stearyl, cetearyl alcohol, and propylene glycol are actually very beneficial in skincare to help draw in and hold moisture.
